Social Media is an excellent method to engage with your customers and build long lasting relationships. Nonetheless, content is key in social media platforms. The web and social media platforms have shifted traditional rules of marketing and communication. They have given everyone the control to be a publisher or ‘journalist’ who can interact with international markets in order to reach potential clients and target audience better than the competition. Content needs to be relevant, interesting and consistent to your brand, it should be differentiated from competitors’ information.
In future social media content will become more relevant since Google has initiated the use of SMO (social media optimization) thereby giving authority to brands and sites.
